Frequently Asked Questions

The majority of questions that YogaBugs received tend to be from the children asking when they can next be a spaceman or go to the jungle?! However we do get some from adults too….!

What is the single best reason you can give me as to why I should become a YogaBugs Management Franchise owner?

You will be investing in a business that is proven. Our structured way of working, if followed correctly, can deliver you a rewarding income from the start.

How can I finance the YogaBugs Franchise?

The franchise can either be financed from personal capital or from a business loan - most of the major banks have specialist Franchise departments as they view Franchising as a safer way to start a new business.  In this regard, local managers will usually provide good terms and a higher lending proportion of the required start-up capital than might otherwise be available.

Will I need to prepare a business plan?

We will need to satisfy ourselves that what you project in your business plan is both realistic and achievable. You will also require this for your own planning and for raising any additional funding required to start your business.

Is franchising the best option for me?

Assuming you have made the decision to run your own business, franchising may be your best option as it offers many clear advantages over a business start-up. You will be able to use an existing business format which we have created. This reduces the risk of starting up a completely new business or working a new area. The services are already developed and tested in the market. You will have much more credibility with your customers, who will see you as part of a larger national organisation. You will also receive support from our head office team from operational start up to on-going training and development.

On what basis do you select your Franchisees?

We want our Franchisees to succeed and on that basis, we will be very selective.  We want people who share our vision to help the next generation enjoy a physical exercise in a safe and non competitive environment. We are committed to training you so that you feel confident you can deliver young children a truly magical YogaBugs class, whilst we equipe you with all the necessary business tools to ensure you achiever your teaching goals.

What skills do I need?

A strong love of yoga and children; the desire to succeed and have lots of fun! The confidence to sell the idea of classes to schools & nurseries.

When and how much would it cost to buy another area?

We have used a Geographical Mapping Company to determine each territory. We would consider an application once you have proven that you can build your own business region first. Once this has been achieved, and you can prove that you would be able to develop another territory without letting your existing territory suffer, then a further territory may be awarded for a nominal fee.

What happens if I’m awarded a YogaBugs Franchise and it’s not for me?

Our selection criteria is very stringent for this very reason. Franchising is about working together; it’s our responsibility to highlight the realities of running your own business (the highs and the lows), therefore we’d hope that we don’t select individuals who are not suited to this sort of industry. As it’s your business you will be within your rights to sell it and receive any capital appreciation. Obviously, we will want to first approve the new owner prior to issuing a new Franchise Agreement.

Why choose a YogaBugs Franchise over other children’s franchises?

YogaBugs is the worlds leading Children’s Yoga Company. Our brand presence is strong due to our book being the only one of its kind, our 9 month series on GMTV and our consultancy role on the ABC show Waybuloo.  We operate in a market where the health and well being of young people is at the top of the agenda of parents, teachers and government figures. With issues such as child obesity and type 2 diabetes on the increase, the demand to create and offer children a healthy lifestyle is ever increasing. So, unlike other physical activities, classes are taught in a safe and non competitive manner, they address the need for a healthy lifestyle and educate children on the importance of a healthy diet and staying fit and healthy. Yoga can be done before, during or after the school day which increases the revenue generating opportunities. Aside from this there are other channels for revenue such as private classes, birthday parties and merchandise.
